Dont worry, its factory. So far all of the 68-72 hardtops I have taken off the frame had these "dummy" mounts in those places. I cant remember about the 68-72 convertibles, but my 66 conv had actual mounts in these locations.

Mounts #3 & #5 have jounce cushions only. These are real mounts, not dummys. Don't leave them out.

The '68 I'm (slowly) starting to work on has the same jounce cushions at the 3 and 5 locations, but the PST kit includes regular mounts. Am I going to have to cut through the floorboards and weld a nut in place to use these regular mounts? I don't suppose Chevrolet kindly installed cage nuts "just in case"! Or does someone manufacture polyurethane jounce cushions? PST tell me they don't....

PROTHANE does, but not sold seperately. Got to buy a complete kit.
