Last night my husband and I struggled to put the new seat covers on the back seat for my 69 and only after we'd finished the top section did we realize we forgot to put the buttons on, ugh! At this point, rather than pull the whole thing apart again, I think we're going to leave the buttons off. I'm not sure I'll like this, but what else can I do?

I think I did that too on the front. If I remember right, I just measured and marked locations, poked the holes, and reached up between the foam and cover to get the washers on by feel. It was before the hog rings went on so you might have to remove a few if you've already done that.
