Looks pretty good! Looks like we are in nearly identical stages of restoration. Good luck with the rest of it!

A covan Bezel? what is that? I am using an original A/C 68 dash bezel that i painted, i posted pics of that last week. The guy who has all the original A/C parts for my car. PRevious owner removed almost everything, wanted to make it a race car. So he decided to remove all the A/C parts but left the original 307 powerglide combo ;) . HE is comming over today and we are going to see what i need and if i can start buttoning up the dash or if ineed to have access still. If not the dash will start going back together.
lookin good graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Yes i am, i have had this dash sitting around for two years painted but haven't had the car parked to ripe my dash out also. So i figured now is the best time as ever. I just got the pedals/Zbar assembly in this weekend. Got to finish with some under the dash stuff then the dash will be going back in.

I'm coming up to the same stage your at with my restoration. Looking good. What type of paint did you use on your dash? Did you paint it all one color or did you paint the top near the windshield a flatter shade like original?

The black is flat black krylon spray paint. I had no idea the top was a flatter color then the dash so i did not smile.gif . I painted the entire thing in primer, then painted most of it black, then masked off what i wanted green it is Racing green Rustoleum spray paint. Then i topped it off with Krylon Satin paint. Did two primer coats, 3 black coats, 3 green coats, and 4 clear coats. I did my entire dash in satin, since i live in arizona i didn't want my dash to blind me and i didn't like the look of totally flat paint, satin just fits my taste.
My car had already been painted by the previous owner as you can tell so i had no idea about the different shades for the top. It makes sense since that is what sees the sun and a flat paint would reflect less, but i imagine they didn't paint the top of the dash in flat.
Ah who knows, more pics soon, got everything i needed today to button up the dash, still got a bit more painting but most of it is just the nice stuff like ash tray etc... smile.gif
