Anyone know how to determine the color of a metal dash for restoration? My interior color is Turquoise. I guess my question is should it be the same color as the body(originally white) or is there a turquoise paint that's made to match the interior? I'm hoping to find the original paint scheme.
Malibu66, the dash color is usually the same color as the interior with the exception of cars with white upholstery. I believe they came with black dashes. I'm sure there are plenty of cars out there that do not follow this, but for the most part, this is what I've seen.

Turquoise paint to match the interior... I have seen lots of turquoise dashes (mostly with cars that didn't have Turq exteriors (like yours)...
But I don't know if it is a different turquoise than the colors that were an optional EXTERIOR color...
Since vinyl die lots can differ, I'd think about matching the actual vinyl you are using for your resto (seat covers/door panels or dash pad). Have a paint shop match up the color for you...
I did a semi-custom interior in my 66 usuing all "stock" upholstery. I have white seats, but the console is white, along with the entire door panels and kick panels, while the dash and carpet are bright blue, matching the exterior.
For the kick panels, console and seat backs, I had a paintshop match the color (off-white) of the seatcovers... Looks good and looks factory (IMO)...
