When I bought my Chevelle, it came with swivel buckets. For my 19th birthday, my Dad gave me a set of buckets out of a 71 or 72 Buick GS. After the car has sat now for 10+ years (knockin' on the door of my 33rd birthday), I have some money to begin working on it again. I would like to know if, other than the stiching and pattern of the vinyl, 69 Chevelle bucket seat covers will fit. The style of these looks correct (plastic rear shell with centered release button). Are the rails that mount them to the floor the same, or will I have to find a new/used set? If this ends up being a high dollar time consuming affair, I'll probably go back to an original bench (although I prefer the buckets!).

Yes,they are the same..the 69 seat covers will go right on.In fact,I used 71 Cutlass seats in my 70 SS with the correct 70 seat covers.
