I purchased a new steering wheel from Year One and was quite surprised to see it painted whit gloss or at least semi gloss black. My horn shroud is painted (by me) with flat paint. Which is correct?

It should not be painted at all. a 69 or 70 steering wheel is made of a shiny black plastic, no paint.
