I was wondering if there was an alternative to lap belts for a 65 Chevelle. Possibly 3 point or 4 point. Don't feel safe driving in LA.

If it is a hardtop, there really isn't anything substantive to bolt the shoulder belt too. You could weld in a bracket of some sort along the inside roof rail but it would look pretty bad I would think. If you did it right, you might be able to make some sort of bracket you could weld in that would lie under the headliner.

If it is a two-door post or four-door car you will at least have a pillar to bolt the shoulder belt too, you'd just have to make a bracket of some sort.
