OK, here's a strange & stupid one for you all...How do you remove the wiper blade head off of the wiper arm. The previous owner of my 70 Malibu put these funky black euro-style wiper blades on the car and I want to replace them with the original aluminized wiper blades. I have new original replacements, but I can't get the euro's off of the arm. Suggestions?

Just so you have at least one reply, the wiper blade assembly mounts on the short rod that is perpendicular to the wiper arm. The blade assembly usually has some sort of tab that can be depressed so the assembly can be slipped off the rod. Without seeing the funky blades you have, its hard to suggest any more. Hope this helps.

I had some funky euro blades on my '71 Malibu and to get them off I had to do a little "pull and twist".

I've pressed, pulled and torn the buttons...I've twisted and pulled these damn things but they just won't come off. Thanks for the replies, but I think it's time to bring out the shears and hammer and break these things off.
