i am thinking about buying a 72 chevelle with a 383 stroker ok ,i have this delema.it is or can be set up for manual or auto.it has no trans in it now only a clutch pedal and a brake pedal,and auto shifter on the console horseshoe.I am sure the manual is a m21 or 22 the lakewood scattershield is out in plain sighton the garage floor ,but so is the auto trans looks like a 350 or 400?now i am asking this because i am ready to deal.ok its a 72 ss clone i think?it may be a heavy chevy but ,not sure.the only thing that gave it away was the steering wheel reg. malibu type. buckets console and ss gauges badges and non working ss hood[ cowl induction]12 bolt with get this traction bars.price is in the 6's .int. is great and bodyneeds very little attn.P.S help because i like gtos too!

Whoa......slow down there Steve. Take a deep breath. Are you asking what we would reccommend, a stick or an automatic. You will probably get a lot of votes for either so you will ultimately have to make up your own mind. I prefer a 4-speed myself.
