This is NOT for the Chevelle, but rather for the beater daily driver.
My van has a narrow oil filler neck, positioned in such a way that you can't get an oil bottle close to it, and if you spill, it drops right onto the serpentine belt. Because of this, you really need a funnel. I figured the top 5" (including bottle neck )of a 2 liter soda bottle would make a great funnel that I wouldn't miss elsewhere. I took the lid, drilled a small hole through the top and mounted it upside down to the top of the fan shroud with a sheet metal screw. Then I threaded the "funnel" into it. Now I have an oil funnel permanently mounted under the hood of my van, ready whenever I need it.
