When I sand blasted (http://home.flash.net/~tomgr/pic/Chevelle/During/Blasting%20Setup.jpg) my body I needed to come up with a method of holding it on it's side for easy access to the bottom. I didn't want to spend the time and money building a rotisserie for one use, so I came up with a cradle design instead.
The cradle consisted of two 4X4 tee shaped frames (http://home.flash.net/~tomgr/pic/Chevelle/During/Chevelle12.jpg), with plywood gussets for strength and casters for mobility. It bolted to the bumber bracket attach points (http://home.flash.net/~tomgr/pic/Chevelle/During/Scraping.jpg) on the rear and the door hinge points on the front. The frames were symetrical. so I could tip the car on either side to work on it.
They worked great and I just threw them away when I was finished.
