This sounds dumb and most probably already do it.
Putting plugs back in an engine can sometimes be aggrivating, espically if their hot. Get a 10" length of 3/8 fuel tubing and push the plug into the tubing. Then, use the tubing as a flexible handle and screw the plugh in all the way. Tighten up with your plug wrench.
