Easy Off oven cleaner is a great paint stripper. All you do is follow the instructions on the can. Just don't use up the entire can otherwise the wife gets mad.

Also, if you want to strip paint from parts made of vinyl, plastic, aluminum etc. (where you can't use regular stripper), try brake fluid. They say that Easy Off will work on plastic too, but I haven't tried it.

Brake fluid? I'll have to remember that.
Thanks

It's easy to remember, just look at what the paint on your firewall looks like around the master cylinder http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
Use the cheapest kind you can find, silicone fluid won't work. Soak the parts for a few hours, in some cases you may have to leave them overnight. Cover it up while it's soaking, it seems like the "aroma" will evaporate with time if left uncovered. A word of caution: I have used this successfully on many polystyrene model kits, but I have also managed to melt a side light lens from a Camaro (left it overnight). Fortunately, it was for my friend's Camaro, so it didn't really matter http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif Test on a scrap piece first if you have got one.
