What tilt columns will fit in a '71 Malibu? Will a tilt column from any '69 through '72 A-body fit? Thanks.

The 69-72 A body, including the other A bodies and Monte Carlos will fit. Camaro, full size and maybe some trucks from 69 to the early 80's may fit the only difference would be the length from the floor to the dash mount and the end of the shaft, some are splined and some are D shaped. The plug on the ignition switch will work on the tilt you just have to turn it around.

I put a tilt/cruise column from a '74 Monti Carlo in my '71. It only cost $20 at a swap meet and works great. If I remember, the only real modification I needed to make was to use the shaft that attaches the column to the steering gear box from the old column...Tom
