Yes you can recoat it. I found a place here in the Seattle, Wa. area that does it to all types of glass. Might check the yellow pages under mirrors and ask around in your area, but it can be done. I had a beveled mirror on an antique china hutch recoated about 2 years ago.
Another option is your local salvage yard. May be cheaper.

Its cheaper and faster to just replace the mirror with a new one.

A week ago I got my 2 day/nite mirrors back from the refinisher. Cost me $20 total.

The mirrors I have, have a rubber seal around the edge that holds the mirror in. I rolled the rubber back, inserted a butter knife and walked it slowly acrossed the top of the mirror. I was careful (for a change) not to cut the rubber with the knife. Once the mirror was seperated from the frame it almost fell out. The first took me 3 or 4 minutes to remove. The second 30 seconds. Its very easy.

The glass in a day/nite mirror is beveled and not available from any of the parts/glass stores around here. The clear mirror looks great.
