Can anyone tell me if the seat belts from a bench seat car are the same as a bucket seat car?

Slime; if you can try the search feature on this site you may get a few nuggets on this topic. I know that I have read posts that mention that the change from bench to bucket results in a too-close situation between the belt retractor and the bucket seat. I think the the "bucket" floor pans (in additon to the mounts for the seats) have a different location for the retractors (farther out). I do not know if the retractors are the same or not. I do know that you can take the belts from various size GM cars from the same year and switch them around OK.
