I have a 70 chevelle malibu and one of the wiper arms is not going into the hood and the other wiper arm is. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Pop off the one that isn't hiding and move it a few notches on the splines.

That won't work on a 70 because the splines are keyed. You have to open the hood and look at the motor eccentric. There's a brass coupling which has two bolts holding it together. This, in turn, holds the actuating arm onto the ball on the end of the eccentric. Loosen the bolts and slide the arm one way or the other until the wiper sits below the hood edge. Make sure you tighten before each try.

I agree with Jerry... I have had it where adding some lubrication to all the joints has helped if it is dry and rusty.
