I recently exchanged my 10 bolt for a 12 bolt and had no one to help me. I jacked the rear up high enough to allow me to run my daughters Radio Flyer wagon under the center section. I tool the control arms loose and pulled the wagon out with the diff sitting on it. Installation was the reverse. It made it easy to line up the arms without wrestling the rear end. The wagon survived the swap too!

Sounds like a good plan, but where the heck do you get a jack that'll raise the car that high and how much does it cost?

I used an old lawnmower.
Use it to change trannies, too.
Works great, esp. if you can't jack the car high enough http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Good tip,
Those Radio Flyers work great for all kinds of engine, transmission and rear end moving
