: Rear Spring Coil Isolators
Clueless Feb 21st, 01, 11:06 AM I am in the middle of replacing all the bushings in my 66 Chevelle hardtop with Polygraphite. My one problem is that I cannot find a set of upper/rear coil spring isolators (polygraphite or stock rubber). Does anyone have an idea on where I can find a set of new ones or a makeshift way to create some new ones (rubber hose?)
Thanks,
Shane
bb67H-D Feb 21st, 01, 11:30 AM Ground up carries them as do most chevelle parts vendors. GM pairs are about 10 bucks a pair for the rubber replacments.

Clueless Feb 21st, 01, 1:47 PM Thanks for the reply. I contacted Ground Up and they confirmed that GM has ceased production on the isolators. I will have to create something or go without.

Uncle Feb 23rd, 01, 8:25 AM Shane, don't go without! You'll regret it. I don't remember the part number, but I got some Moog insulators at the same time I got their springs. Keep looking. I'll see if I can find a part # for you. I paid about $3 each.

jodysss396 Mar 29th, 01, 2:02 PM What do they look like? Is it something you could cut out yourself from some thick rubber belting? If so, find out how thick they need to be and I can send the pieces of flat conveyor belting to you to cut them out to fit.
