Tired of seeing the rubber lines draping all over that shiny engine. Or you don't feel like messing with braided lines. Get you a tubing bender and some stainless tubing and route your vacuum lines where ever you want . This looks really neat and you can even make custom brackets to mount the lines where you want. just use a 1/2 rubber hose attatched to the tubing and run to your distributor Works good for the automatics vac line as well. I saw this at a rod run this past summer and know its not likely a new idea, its just I've seen very little of a trick thing like this. you can polish it or even paint to match that insano looking motor, or engine bay. Just a tip.. Later RandyB

I like it! I know I've never thought of it. Just got through sleeving mine, but there are a few others like the power brake line that would look good in 1/2" aluminum tubing. I have a bender at work that I can borrow.
Thanks!

Just remember that anything getting plummed into the motor will need room to flex. You might want to install a couple of inches of rubber hose in a line going to the motor.

Good idea http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif I was thinking about doing something like this...For the meantie, I used the black nylon tubing, with the "Emission fittings" (you know, the "new car" type vacuum lines)...Nice, 'cause they are still flexible...
Clark is right though...keep in mind the flexing of the motor...

The rubber hose ends are for the connection and the flexing. I'm sorry if I didn't explain this just right.
