I have a 72 chevelle.. i have all the bolts off the dash board, but it will not move at all. is there something i am missing??

Please provide some more detail!. If you are referring to the topmost piece, that should be ready to remove when you have all 6(?) screws out. To remove it, pull straight back and lift a bit.

I'm assuming that you disconnected the radio speaker bracket (if it's still there), parking brake release rod, speedometer cable and unplugged the fuse block and lowered the steering column? Also, make sure that your heater/defroster cables are disconnected and your asto-vent cables. After removing the six bolts, the dash should lift right out. Good luck!
