My plating guy was removing pits from my '66 console and dug too deep (through). Has anyone used or know someone who could repair this and fill the other pits in the outer groove? The groove is 1/8" wide, 1/4" deep. The old plating is off.

Yes, check with a good weld shop and they can repair it with "Alladin" rod and get you back in operation.
