I don't know how much help I can be. Do the seats have a hard metal back? If so where is the release button that lets the seat tip forward so you can get in the back? Also do they have the metal pieces around the side that kind of hide the tracks and such?

I looked at the seats, they have a metal release that is near both the pass and drvr doors, no metal to hide traks, and the back is plastic, also elongated back(no separate headrest)Appreciate the help!!!

Soundcat, hard to tell without a visual, but they sound like Camaro buckets of the mid to late '70's. Bryan

I had the exact same problem when I bought cores; the way I was able to tell was using catalogs that had pictures of seat covers for the various years; each year has a slightly different design.

I suppose it may be problematic if you're not sure what model they came out of; but if they're from a chevelle, it should be easy.

If you think they are from a Chevelle, get a free copy of National Parts Depot's catalog. They have a picture of every year bucket seat design.

Where can I find or call and order a National Parts Depot catalog? Do you have number or web info? BTW I surely appreciate all the info!

I have their catalog and can see nothing that matches your description(metal release near doors, plastic back, elongated back with headrest incorporated). Maybe I missed it,but as long as you're getting their catalog, you might as well get Camaro/Nova catalogs and compare those seats as well. I used a set from a mid-70's Camaro a few years back and your description matches them perfectly.
