if anyone can help me id appritiate it .I just bought a 1969 chevelle so my twin boys can drive it and the car was just finished on a resto ,the privious owner had a SS hood put on this maibu and it doesnt fit ,it sticks up to high tward the cowl,weve tried to adjust the hinges but to no avale.Does the SS hood take a different hinge than the malibu?? if so and you know witch one please write me at concrete4u@aol.com

i just had a similar problem with my 70 and a cowl hood that stick up higher in the front and doesn't go all the way down to the grill. could be the manufacturer hard to say. im just living with it jk

also have a 69 with a ss hood was the same sticking up in the back, after resto put hood back on, quess what it was the same, up in the back, a friend came over and in 15 minutes adjusted the hinges fits fine, i tryed for two days and gave up, i'll send him over, or find someone who's done this before, can't tell you what he did, looked like the same things i tryed for two days.
