This stuff is great. I put it on my windshield and most of the time in the rain I no longer need the wipers. It only lasted about a month, but it is inexpensive and easy to apply. I was so impressed I went Wal-Mart and bought there wax. I spent 2 hours doing the wash and wax and retreated the windshield and did all the rest of the glasss, headlights and the mirrors. Of course a few hours later it rained again, hard. The wax works like the windshield treatment, nothing would stick to my truck. I live on a dirt road and the mud just falls off. There slogan is "nothing sticks but the shine" and so far it is true.

Philip,
I have used rainx for several years and won't leave home without it. I live in SW Louisiana and sometimes it really rains hard. During hard rains, I never use the wipers.

Believe it or not we actually put rain X on the front windshields of jets. It's alot less distracting to have the water just bead off the glass, than it is too have the wipers going when you are trying to land a big old hunk of rivets. Mat

Oh my, Elli. Here we are getting ready to spend 15 hours in that "big of hunk of rivets" flying to Hawaii. I look for some patches of JB Weld. tom

Rain-X also works as a pretty good anti-stick coating.Motorcyclists use it on the helmet visors to make bugs easy to remove. Once, I had it on a car when local enforcement types put a sticker on my windshield for being parked in a prohibited place. The Rain-X allowed me to easily peel off that sticker and put it on another car near mine.

JWagner is right. I ride an 1100 Suzuki Katana, used rain x on it for years. They don't make windshield wipers for them and when you get caught in a rain storm, you had better be able to see!

If you like the way Rainex works you should try some Aqupel from PPG. It's a long lasting form of Rainex. The problem with Rainex is you have to keep applying it. You only remember it when its raining and then it's too late. Aquapel will last from 3 to 6 months. Check PEP boys. If they don't have Aquapel they will have some other long lasting brand. It costs $5-$9 but its worth it.
