I recently posted an ad the wanted section of this site for an A/C setup and I have a guy who has one for me but it's out of a monte carlo (I don't know what year). Will it work in my Elky? Thanks.

i would think a factory a/c set up would be hard to install in a non/ac car. my 70 has a dealer installed a/c system from 1970 that contours to the dash bottom and is a compact unit with little under the hood, you may want to try and find a set up like this pics if you need em

Yes it will fit but you will need new hoses because the Monty was a lot longer up front. You will need to get a section of fire wall and the heater control pannel from the dash and all the duct work from the donor car. You will also need the vents that go in the dash and the flaper door that is behind the kick pannel on the passenger side. There is also a vacume operated door on cowl to open and close the vents. It can be done (I know I did it) but it is alot of work.

My car is a factory A/C car so all I need is the underhood (compressor, evaporator, hoses, condenser, etc.) setup because a previous owner took it out.
