I am restoring a 66 chevelle and would like to update the orig. dash with updated gauges and speedo. Has anyone had experience with the same? Please let me know if you have comments.

I'm assuming you're talking about putting in Autometer, VDO or some aftermarket guages...I did the same thing on my '67. Stripped out all the stock stuff and just used the plastic bezel that fit around it. I fashioned a piece of stainless that fits in the bezel and mounted a set of VDO guages in that. Works fine, looks good. Good Luck. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Hey 66conv,

Dakota Digital can fit really neat digital gauges into your existing dash for about $700. Not cheap but they include all sending units and it is a first class setup. Their phone is 605.332.6513.

Manny,
Do those guages fit into the existing guage holes in the '67 without any hacking or cutting necessary?
