Can someone tell me how to check a cruise
control lever. I just bought a stock lever
for my '70 SS. It looks great but pressing the cruise button doesn't open or close any
circuits.
I'm up to fixing it but I can't get it apart.
How does it come apart??

Ron- Hold off on trying to take it apart. I'm pretty sure I have a check out procedure for the switch at the house. You will need a meter. I probably won't be able to look until Monday and then I'll e-mail it to you.
As I remember to do the check you measure resistance at two of the wire harness contacts with the switch held in half way, then measure at two other contacts with the switch pressed all the way in.
I know from experience that a cruise lever is hard to find.
