I have a 70 Chevelle convertible and I would like to replace the dash with the SS dash which has the tach and guages. Does anyone have any advice about parts availability and potential costs?

No advice on the above, but check the latest NCOA magazine for a detailed dash change out procedure - lots of pictures and details.

Check the parts for sale on this site and you will find most what you need. You will need: Dash, gauges, dash wire harness, engine wire harness, and engine temp sender. You can get by without the engine wire harness if you don't mind adding wires to the existing harness for amp gauge, but you have to have an SS dash wire harness. You can also get by with the SS idiot light harness if you dont mind rewiring it. Cost is about $400 to $500 for dash, dash harness and gauges and about another $50 for senders, etc. This is for decent used parts that need to be restored(repainted/cleaned/repaired). If you have to have someone do this for you add another $300 to $400.

Where can I get a copy of this most recent NCOA magazine article concerning SS dash retrofit?
