Did Motorola make the 1966 Chevelle AM radios? Is there a date code anywhere?

Actually Motorola was among some other various manufacturers to make radios found in the Chevelle line. I'm not too familiar with those, I mostly deal with the "considered always correct" Delco units. I know they are vary similar in construction, but have no idea on the fine detail parts. At this time I have no further research info for you.

Motorola made a lot of car radios in those years. However a Motorola radio would not have come in a factory fresh GM car at that time. Motorola would have been a dealer installed radio. Or maybe installed by an independent radio shop.
