I was thinking today (dangerous) about when and where the th-350 tranny showed up. Was is avaiable in Chevelles? If any one knows What years? I know SS's had th-400s or manuals. Was the th-350 a malibu tranny or were they all glides? Ok, here is another one, anyone heard of a SS(RAT) with a glide from the factory??

The TH-350 came out in 1968. Yes, glides were available behind a big block in a Super Sport. The rear end in my car came out of a 66 SS396 with a glide and column shift. Too bad a rather large tree crushed the donor car. Bet it was a nice ride.

The TH350 came out in the fall of '68 for use in the '69 models. Oldmobile was the division that pushed for it. Olds was the division that had variable-pitch stator blades in the TH400 from '65-'67.
