I've heard Simichrome works well, but I've never used it. I've been using Solvol-Autosol for more than 20 years and I swear by it.

There's a product called "Blue Magic" made in Cleveland, OH. It does an excellent job polishing chrome and anodized aluminum. It's a little expensive but worth it. The trick with hazy anodized aluminum is to let the product sit wet on the surface for a few minutes and then polish off. You may have to do this several times. I've had good results with this stuff.

I've always had good luck with a product called Nevr-Dull.(Not misspelled) It's a treated cotton wadding that is great for aluminum, stainless, brass, and all sorts of stuff. Works well, and is available at many parts stores and hardware stores.

Try some 0000 steel wool on an inconspicuous place. This has worked very well for me on old chrome wheels.

wait, is this trim aluminium? If so, and you want it to look awsome, go to www.anobrite.com, this guy does great work.
