IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SMALL BLOCK AND BIG BLOCK ENGINE FRAME MOUNTS ON A 67 CHEVELLE?I'VE BEEN TOLD YES AND NO BY A FEW PEOPLE AND EVEN SOME CHEVELLE RESTO PARTS COMPANIES.JUST WONDERING BECAUSE MY ENGINE SEEMS TO SET A TAD FORWARD FOR MY LIKING.

j67c, Hi welcome to the best site on the 'NET. All caps mean you are shouting, but you probably didn't know. You might do a search on the subject of engine mount brackets. Since you are new, you didn't know you could do that either. Go ahead, give it a try and see what you find.

Those who do the world's real work don't usually wear ties.
They are shaped differently, but the frame mount pad ends up in the identical position, as far as my eye can tell, anyway. The different shape looks like it adds some strength to the mount for a BB, just a guess, though. I have heard you can use the SB frame mounts so long as you get the SB motor mounts. They apparently will bolt right up to a BB. Seems to me comparing motor mounts would show you what, if any, location shifting would take place.
