My car has a MSD 8360 distributor(with vacuum and mech. advance),and 6 AL box.It was already installed on the car when I bought it,so I have no manual for it.
It's time for new cap/rotor/wires.What will fit on this distributor?Do I need to go with MSD or is there other types that will fit.I ask this because I would prefer a more "stock" look,like a black cap,instead of red.I thought I read in CHP or super chevy a while back about a company that sells wires for HEI distributors,but look like the old skinny ones(7mm?),in black.Anyone deal with this before?Thanks for any help.

I have the same distibutor and a stock chevy cap will fit it. The dwell adjustment door will be positioned on the other side of the cap but it fits fine. (as you know that door is not needed on your msd) Same goes for wires, any wire that would fit on a non HEI chevy cap will fit on your MSD.

The polished billet aluminum sure is pretty but it makes it kind of hard to maintain a "stock" look.

Thanks for the replies guys,and I even got a part #,what service!I know,it's hard to hide this distributor,I would have gone pertronix myself.The MSD is overkill ($$ wise) on my little 327,but I'll work with it I guess.
