Iam installing an SS dash and need a harness. I looked in OPG, NPD, and Year one and saw the "complete" wiring harnesses. If i bought one would everything hook up perfectly or would i have to make any modifications to the new harness or the instruments. I would rather buy a new harness than an original and would rather use the repro than the painless. Thank you much!!!!

I am also installing a SS dash in my Chevelle , I am lucky to have a good dash harness ,, I see in year one catalog they are expencive ,, the first thing you want to do is know the year of your dash as the wire harnesses are slightly differant , then you should match that year dash harness to engine and light harnesss under hood, they are cheap .. if you do all this you should have no trobble if not, you will have to do some rewiring which I hate myself, as far as I have heard the Year One harnesses are just like originals ,, if you dont know year of dash , find out ,, you may be able to get correct harness for your year car and deal with small issues like maybe the light switch and other problems you mite run into , in my case I have to use dash harness because i dont want to shell out 300.00 bucks for one ,, ill just change the engine and light harness to mate the 71 dash to a 70 car
