I finally got the radiator back in yesterday, and the new fan shroud I bought to replace a 1/2 shroud doesn't fit. The fan I'm using is a F#@d 7 blade with clutch that has a 19.5" diameter. I never had an original Big Block shroud, so I have nothing to compare. Now I'm stuck using a cheap chrome cover unless someone has a cure.

PS I don't have any cooling problems, but this is a show car, so I need something that looks like it belongs.

If this is a show car, I would go ahead and buy a reproduction BB shroud. They can be had from our sponser Ground Up for $62.00 (p.n. ABC-1914)They are also original GM http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

The 69+ 7 blade clutch fan was 17 1/2 Dia. You can get the whole kit from GU for $129.00 That includes orig. GM parts: Fan, Fan Clutch, and all attaching hardware.

READ 19.5 INCH FORD FAN. No GM shroud fits this fan diameter.

You could take some time and make an aluminum one that fits, then polish it. Be ingenious and creative.
