i checked your number and this is what i found.
F= made in Flint
01 (i think that the "I" should be a "1")= made in january.
24= 24th day
but i couldnt find anything on the last three letters (engine suffix code). i would recheck them. that is a great place for grease and oil to accumulate. i misread the code one time on my 350. i thought that it was from a vette and i got all excited and rechecked. it was actually from an elcamino. and give this site a try after you check it.

Thanks alot guys! I re-checked and the last seem to be HCH. I though it was from a pick-up, is that possible? Thanks again.

Slime . I could not find that no. in my book. I did come up with 3852174. I wonder if you read the 2 as an 8? If you did this block was used in 65-67 in all but chevy11. From your other no. i have to agree with shooter on the 275 hp 327.

I show 3858174 as 1964-1967 327/275,300,350 car and truck
The actual cast date, and model year is also coded on rear of engine.
