What's the recommended color for rear-end diff cover, before I put it back on. It goes against my grain to leave it "natural" (dirt/rust :), but I don't want it to look peculiar compared to the rest of the "natural" colors down under. If black like I'm guessing, is it gloss/semi/flat (or does it even matter). Thanks, TK.

I have seen a lot of different Chrome covers, etc. but I actually prefer to have them painted body color on a nice looking car, but I believe semi-gloss black is the norm.

TK-70...I just cleaned my 12 bolt cover up nice and then painted it satin black. Then being in a funny mood put 6" moon-eyes decal on it too. Seemed like a good idea at the time. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif Secured it with stainless ARP bolts, looks good!

Great ideas guys. In the interest of keeping the car "low key" I went for the semi black and it looks great. Thanks, TK
