Well I've almost got the Elco on the road but I have one burning Question that I need answered...And since There are so many knowledgeable people on this site I feel I must ask.

Which? In your opinions make the best donor cars when searching for seats. Mine is a little Trashed.

I saw a set from a Eldorado at a swap meet that I thought would look cool, but the Old Lady was givin me the "WHAT DO YOU NEED THOSE FOR" look. So I passed.

Thanks All.

Tim

All right, make sure you don't have any pop or juice in your mouth when you read this http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I have VOLVO buckets in my '71 malibu and they actually look pretty good IMO. I'm going to be selling them soon as I found a set of original buckets from a 70 chevelle so i'm going to have them recovered and put them in.

If you take a look at my web page you can see them. I like the head rest the best.

Take a look at the picture link below.

I've got the black ones in my '69. I think they look great, almost like they are supposed to go there.

I found 'em on a mail order website, but the company looked pretty crummy, so i found a local shop that also could order them.
THey cost me about $750 for the pair and mounting brackets.

They are from a company called Procar

I am installing some Recarro seat's in the 68 that I'm building. I got them out of a Suzuki Turbo GTI at the wrecker's. They cost me $75.00 for the pair and are in mint condition. All the benefit's of the Recarro's but without the price!

I would suggest that you check the height... If you are a tall fellow then you might want something closer to the floor. If your short then a taller seat might be in order. I'm 5'10" so being the average it's no problem either way.

Hope it helps

At 5.6 I'm not what you could on the tall size. Sounds like a good seat combo tho.

Thanks
