I want to replace my front control arm bushings on my 69SS. I Have a control arms of of a 69 4 door and I need to know if I can replace the bushings on these and just switch them with the ones on the SS. Are they same. Big block, Small block 4dr, 2dr etc. Thanks.

No, the upper control arms are different between 12-bolt and 10-bolt, but other than that they are the same. The difference between 12 and 10 bolt control arms, is that the 12 bolt upper control arm part that attaches to the rear-end has a slightly raised portion to accomodate for the slightly taller bushing mount.

The front control arms are all the same.

Some of that read the post BillK was talking about!
Fronts are the same, GM did some screwy things with the lower bushings, some are oval and some are round and there has been folks on here report a mix on the same car, very strange.

I assumed Hunter was talking about the fronts, but can see how RatPowr interpreted it too. Oh well...somewhere in here is the answer he was looking for, plus a little extra http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
