Hey folks...

OK, got a little problem and time is a real problem. I was just rechecking everything on my 64 Chevelle and low and behold my Wiper Motor decided to give up the ghost. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif I am getting the Safety Certificate for it next Tuesday and this is a nescessary item. Now I have to find one very quickly. This would prevent me from putting my plates on after 6 years of painstaking labour! GRRRRRRRR !

Does anyone know what the interchanges are ? What can I get away with using while getting a correct wiper motor. I'm in a hurry, so if someone out there can tell me what I can get from UAP or some other store like that, it would be so very much appreciated! I would prefer to find something that will bolt in without mod's to my beautiful firewall or my electrics.

Car Spec's:
1964 Chevelle Malibu SS (Canadian)
C14 Wiper System option

Sorry, I don't remember & can't identify if it's a two speed, but something is nagging me that it is.

When I needed a wiper motor for my 69 I just went down to the local parts store. they had
a replacement that was the same except it was painted blue. It was exactly like my old one
and alot cheaper than from a catalog. Start calling the local parts stores.

You can get a replacement (rebuilt) motor at any local auto parts store. The ones around here are painted blue (ugly) so some spray paint is in order but they work fine. The one for my 69 with hidden wipers cost me about $70.

Thanks guy's...

I got on the phone and started cruisin and low and behold. GM Still has the darned part available. 24 hours away and plenty in stock, although GM Dealers want $160.00 Cdn, I checked out a Delco supply house and they only want 105.00 Cdn and it's also coming from the same warehouse.

Oddly enough... GM Access (their new stocking system in Canada) has quite a few parts listed for my 64... That is really WEIRD! 35 Years after the thing was made and they still have parts! My Rocker chromes were all original GM packed stock... There's hope yet!

Thanks again. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
