I needed a set of slightly longer heads bolts and hardened washers to install aluminum heads. Got a set from GMPP. The ad says "These high quality bolts include thread sealer and washers." Opened the box at home and there are only bolts. Now I know the thread sealer is already applied to the threads, but where are the washers? It seems like the bottom of the bolt head is flared a little. Is this supposed to the same as a washer and bolt together, or do I need separate washers. Thanks in advance.

With aluminum you need separate washers. Otherwise, as you tighten the bolt it will gouge out aluminum. The hardened washers provide a place for the bolt head to turn. Be sure to put some oil under the head of the bolt.

John,
Most good aftermarket bolt sets will work fine. Get a set of ARP's or Pioneer Performance bolts. They both come with washers.
