davewright99 Dec 2nd, 99, 1:58 PM I'm thinking of putting stainless fuel, brake and trans. lines in my 70 Chevelle. How difficult is a double flare on these lines? Summit has them for $20-$30 per 20 ft. roll, so it seems like not such a bad idea for lifetime (hopefully) lines. Any comments appreciated! SS is a bear to work with, ESPECIALLY if you don't have the premium tools to bend and flare it. SS splits in the blink of an eye http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif also, I am familiar with SS in the aviation world. It's not like working with soft steel lines that you can buy at NAPA.
