I am replacing my dead PS box, by going back to the original Manual steering. I know the centre link is different for the hole diameter at the pitman arm, but is there a difference in the hole diameters for the idler arm? The PS conversion was already done when I bought the car, but w/o the pump and a PS box that has seen better days.
Thanks for the help.

I do not know what year your car is , but on my '72 the idler arm and center link did not need to change when going from manual to power steering.
Pitman arm, Centre link and Idler arm go together as a set, either small hole or large but not a mix. Pitman arms are different between manual and power steering.

Ian, the pitnam arms are different sizes. On the end that is splined and attaches to the box. Power is 1 1/4 in. dia. hole and manual is 1 1/8 in. dia. Make sure that the total length is also the same.

Thanks everyone.
Silly me to forget to state the year. 1966.
I have the correct box, pitman arm and centre link. I will be collecting the proper idler arm this weekend.

Ian,
I did the same swap (PS to manual in a 66 SS) and all I did was replace the pitman arm.
I went from pitman arm #5693764B to #5693762A. I believe they were both 6" long.
