I had mine done with the glass beads about 3 years ago. Looked like new afterwards. As stated, just clean it up good.

Joe,
One problem with glass beading is that it leaves the surface somewhat "porous" and if you spill something on it it tends to work into the metal and is hard to remove. We have solved the problem by painting the manifold after we glass bead it. We have been using a dull aluminum engine paint made by a company called Seymour. They are pretty popular with machine shops. We use it to paint all our rebuilt aluminum heads. The nice thing about it is if it gets lousy looking after a year or so, you can get out the can and spray on a fresh coat.

If you want to keep the aluminum look, just use some high heat clear on the manifold.

Do what Chev64 suggested and get some Por15 'clear'. It looks great and will NEVER stain again. Follow their instructions to a 'T' and your intake will look awesome.

POR-15 Clear will yellow (actually a kind of greenish yellow) with age and exposure to UV rays.

I glass bead the intakes then paint them with Clear Dupont Deltron Epoxy (left over from painting the car. Looks great, glossy, and takes about 5 to 7 years to yellow.

There is a product that is sold at most speed shops, called Busch aluma-wash for bare aluminum. It works great.
