I recently talked to a guy who says he sold a 72 Baldwin Motion Chevelle a while back. If I could find the car, does anyone know a sure way to tell if its the real thing?

The owner of the 1973 B/M Chevelle had to contact Joel Rosen, the owner of B/M back then,to verify his car.He might be able to help you out.I have no idea how to reach him.But the owner who sold the 73 B/M Chevelle is a member here sometimes.

Joel is a member of Mad Mike's 2nd. Generation page. Post a topic , and someone can get you in touch with him if you find the car.

I think Joel charges ~ $1,500 to document a car. The owner (Tom) of the '73 427 BM Chevelle has it for sale now w/a price of $75,000 firm. If you are serious about the '72, I would strike a deal to buy the car contingent on verification from Joel. If you are paying a market price for the car, I would have the seller pay Joel's fee first. If you are "stealing" the car then you'll have to gamble and front Joel's fee.

I just wish I could see a real Baldwin Motion 70 Chevelle. For Christmas I got a diecast 70 Baldwin Motion. On the box it said the owner would garantee you your money back if the car didn't run a 11sec 1/4mile! The paint is pretty neat looking, I think it has a skin graph of a 69 Corvette BB hood on a flat Malibu hood. Neat Stuff
