: Inner fenders, which ones?

What a wonderful wife I have! What better sentimental Birthday present can there be than a PST suspension kit!

While the front end is dissmantled, I'm also going to replace the inner fenders which in my car are plastic. I've heard that some repros are cheezy and thin. Does anyone have any recommendations? OPG, Group UP, Year One, etc...

Thanks,

Bob

I bought plastic ones for my 69. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! They were absolutely terible.
I sent them back and purchased goodmark metal ones. They fit perfect. As fae as I know, all the plastic ones are made in Taiwan or China and...UURRRGGGHHH!!! Bad stuff! Call 1-800-521-6104 and order metal ones.

I bought the metal ones from our sponsor, Ground Up. They were reasonably priced and appear to fit nicely!

My 70 SS 396 has one plastic and one metal. I'm not near the car right now but I'm almost postive the plastic one has GM molded in. What did my car come with originally. I always assumed mine was taken from or order for a later year. I thought maybe GM decided for later years to use plastic for weight savings.

Replaced my 72 with plastic ones from that Southern California outfit (starts with an O). Never could get the two large bolts through the back into the body. When I complained I was told I was the first one who ever did. Told the car must have been wreaked and that's the reason for the poor fit. Maybe I should go find that Chevy dealer who sold me that new wreaked car.

I just recieved the metal ones from Ground Up I tried to order plastic but GU would not sell them to me, they said I would not be happy and sold the metal ones to me. They also sold the Goodmark fenders(72). Prices are getting high on quality parts but I plan on doing this just once.
