i have a 66 conv. and am wondering what the differance is between the late model hydraulic motors used on g.m.'s? the one's i've seen recommend tranny fluid and mine uses brake fluid!?!? they look identical though. these motors are cheap at the pik-a-part yards compared to the $170 price tag for a new one.

Someone from this site just told me they put in a pump from a late model convert Sunbird with no problems. I have a 69 convertible and you should use Dexron ATF in your pump, It works better than the Brake fluid and doesn't ruin your paint.
