I saw a vette the other day on the road with the blackout tail-lights, looked sharp.
Are there any companies that sell black acrylic that could be cut to shape for this purpose?

I had a 77 Chevy pickup a few years ago and I had the headlight covers custom made. My father works at an aircraft company that builds helicopters and the windows are made of smoked Lexan. I sent him the measurements and they cut some for me. Fit great, looked awesome. Point is, see if anyone you know knows someone else that can do something like that for you. Check you local speed shop for info on how you can find em. If not, email me and I'll have 'em cut for you! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif Good luck.

Also be aware that in some areas it is illegal to operate a vehicle with blacked out lights.

While it's a minor thing, it does make a great excuse to pull someone over.

OK....Forget all this cutting Lexan stuff. VHT sells a product called Nite-Shades which is a spray on blackout for lights. I know it may not sound perfect, but the stuff works GOOD!!! Several thin coats, and you can make it as dark or light as you want. I shot my car with this stuff 2 years ago, and it still looks as good as the day I did it. You can get it from Summit under the part number VHT-SP999 for 5 or 6 bucks a can. You won't be disappointed.
