: Fuel Vapor Canister Help.....

I noticed this several weeks ago, but am just now getting around to posting it.
The fuel vapor canister on my chevelle has 3 hoses that attach to it (PCV, Carb, and tank). The one to the tank is connected to the canister and then to a metal line which I believe runs back to the fuel tank. The one to the PCV is connected to the canister, but the other end is connected to nothing, where should it go?? The carb line is connected to the canister but the other end is not connected to anything, and is pluged with a screw. Should this carb hose go to a vac port on the carb??? I have also been noticing a strong gasoline smell after the car has been drivin for some time, which I have heard is attributed with the vapor canister not functioning correctly. Any help as to what hoses go where would be great.

Thanks,

Forget the original stuff. Connect the hoses in a functional way and move on.

1. PCV at valve cover, which is tee'd to vac fitting at base of carb.
2. To tank steel line.
3. Manifold vacuum port on carb.
The lid of the canister should be labeled.
